Crafted by mezcalero Laurentino Santos Martínez in Santa Catarina Coatlán, Oaxaca, this small-batch mezcal uses wild agave Macroacantha grown on red, iron-rich soils at about 1,595 m elevation. The agaves are pit-roasted for ~75 hours, hand-crushed, fermented in oak vats and double-distilled in copper pot stills for a traditional, terroir-rich spirit.
