Dewar’s was founded in 1846 by John Dewar Sr in Perth, Scotland. Over time, his sons John Alexander and Thomas “Tommy” Dewar expanded the business. Dewar’s White Label was created in 1899 by the first Master Blender A. J. Cameron, and has since become the flagship blend for John Dewar & Sons.
