Fortaleza Reposado Tequila

Fortaleza Tequila is produced at Destilería La Fortaleza in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. Founded by Guillermo Erickson Sauza, a fifth-generation tequila maker, the distillery honors traditional methods established by his great-great-great-grandfather, Don Cenobio Sauza, who is credited with exporting tequila to the United States in the 1800s. Fortaleza embraces time-honored practices, including cooking agave in brick ovens, crushing with a volcanic stone tahona, fermenting in open-air wooden vats, and distilling in copper pot stills.
