Distillery Background

Maestro Dobel was introduced by the Beckmann family (also behind Jose Cuervo) in Jalisco, Mexico. Their “Diamante” (sometimes styled “Diamanté”) line is a luxury offering: they age multiple expressions (reposado, añejo, extra-añejo) and then apply a proprietary filtration process to remove colour, yielding a clear yet matured tequila.

Bright and clear (despite aged components). Aromas of caramel, honey, maple syrup, nutty vanilla and subtle smoked agave. On the palate there’s cooked agave richness, creaminess, baking spices, and a lingering finish of coffee bean and papaya.
