Distillery Background:
The Lost Explorer Mezcal Joven Salmiana is a handcrafted, small-batch artisanal mezcal produced in the Valles Centrales, Oaxaca, Mexico, on ancestral Mixtec land. This mezcal is made from the wild Salmiana agave, which is one of the more herbaceous varieties and takes approximately 12 years to mature before being sustainably harvested. The traditional production process, overseen by Maestro Mezcalero Don Fortino Ramos, results in a mezcal joven (unaged) with a distinctively green, sweet, and spicy profile.
