Rockford Wines is situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley (South Australia) and is widely regarded as one of the region’s most influential producers. Founded and led by winemaker Robert O’Callaghan, the estate champions old‑vine shiraz grown in dry‑farmed, low‑yield sites. The Basket Press series is the flagship: grapes are harvested from various Barossa vineyards (Kalimna, Ebenezer, Moppa Springs, Eden Valley and more) and processed using traditional methods such as open fermentation and a historic basket press, followed by maturation in seasoned American and French oak hogsheads and casks for about two years. The wine has become a cult classic and a benchmark for Barossa shiraz.
