Amahagan Edition No. 2 serves as the second release in Nagahama Distillery’s “World Malt” series—a clever play on “Nagahama” spelled backward. Launched in early 2019, it blends a small amount of Nagahama’s nascent new-make spirit with malt whiskies sourced from overseas, then finishes the blend in Japanese red wine casks to introduce rich fruit and tannic layers.
