A 23 year old Bunnahabhain, distilled in October 1998 and finished in ex-Calvados casks for a final two years. This release was bottled for the Feis Ile 2022, the first in-person event for over two years. We were delighted with the mix of Bunnahabhain maritime and French Calvados influence- think floral apple juice, wood shavings and pecan pie.

After spending two years finishing in French Calvados casks, this Fèis Ìle limited edition is a sublimely sweet and characterful dram. Aged for 23 years, this sweet and fruity whisky has a really powerful spicy finish.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Notes of barley sugar, pear drops and toffee apples take the lead, followed by a burst of dates and a floral top note like conifer trees.
PALATE
Sweet and fruity, lots of green apple and pear candies. Some signature cereal, oily notes of Bunnahabhain and more toffee mixed with dried fruits.
FINISH
Spicy and powerful then floral on the palate.
