Piper-Heidsieck is a historic Champagne house, founded in 1785 in Reims, France. The Vintage Brut range is only declared in exceptional years; 2018 was such a year with ripe fruit, strong acid structure and excellent balance. The house has aged this wine extensively on lees, selecting fruit from both Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards to express the character of the vintage.

Bright golden yellow with fine bead. Nose of nectarine, almond, red fruits, mocha and a touch of smoke. On the palate it’s vibrant and rich — raspberry, pineapple, citrus peel, creamy brioche and subtle hazelnut. Fresh acidity drives the finish, which is long, structured, and lightly yeasty with mineral tension.
