Established by the Lindner family in 1944, St Hallett began as a Barossa producer focused primarily on fortified wines before turning its attention to premium table wines. Old Block was first created in 1980 by winemaker Robert O’Callaghan, showcasing fruit from the Barossa’s ancient Shiraz vines and establishing the wine as one of St Hallett’s signature expressions.
