The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid in Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland (region: Speyside). Over nearly two centuries the brand has built its reputation on premium single malts, emphasising small stills, sherry-seasoned oak casks and natural colour. The Macallan Litha was released in 2023 and highlights the synergy of Scottish new-make spirit meeting first-fill sherry oak casks crafted in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
