De Conti is a brand inspired by Niccolò De’ Conti, a renowned Venetian explorer. Embracing his spirit of discovery, the winery ventured beyond its traditional territories to craft unique wines from the Puglia region in southern Italy. The Appassimento line reflects this adventurous ethos, utilizing the ancient "appassimento" technique—naturally drying grapes to concentrate flavors and sugars—resulting in wines of depth and character.

Product Description

De Conti Appassimento is a rich, full-bodied red wine made using the traditional appassimento method. Grapes are naturally dried to concentrate their flavors before fermentation. This process imparts a deep, garnet-red hue and complex flavor profile to the wine. The blend primarily consists of Primitivo, with possible additions of Negroamaro and Sangiovese, sourced from the sun-drenched vineyards of Puglia.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Intense aromas of dried cranberries, currants, nutmeg, and pepper, characteristic of the appassimento technique.

• Palate: Vibrant with ripe berry fruits, smooth with velvety tannins, offering a rich and full-bodied mouthfeel.
