Kweichow Moutai is the most revered of Chinese liquors, awarded the honorable title of National Liquor, the highest accolade for any wine or spirit in China. Made of organic sticky sorghum (similar to wheat), it takes five years to produce one bottle of Moutai. It is distilled 9 times and then aged 3 years in ceramic pots. The production cycle mirrors the Chinese lunar calendar. It is a complex beverage with a truly unique taste and history.
