The Shinobu brand was created in Niigata, Japan by master blender Ken Usami, with a philosophy built around “shinobu” (patience). This blended whisky is crafted from a 50/50 mix of malt and grain whiskies sourced and matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, then finished in rare Japanese Mizunara oak. The Mizunara wood adds distinctive aromatic spice and incense-like character, a signature element of the style.
