Product Description
Unshackled Pinot Noir is a fruit-forward, richly textured red made from select California coastal vineyards. Crafted to be expressive and accessible, it blends the grape’s signature elegance with The Prisoner’s signature intensity. Aging in a mix of French and American oak barrels adds layers of spice and smooth complexity without overpowering the fruit.
Tasting Note
- Nose: Aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry compote, and pomegranate are layered with notes of vanilla bean, sweet baking spices, and a hint of cola. There’s also a subtle earthy quality—dried herbs and forest floor—that adds dimension.
- Palate: Silky and smooth with vibrant acidity. The palate opens with lush red berry flavors—cherry, strawberry, and cranberry—balanced by nuanced oak tones, including toasted caramel, cinnamon, and a touch of smoke. Mid-palate has a supple, almost creamy texture.
- Finish: Clean and medium-long, with lingering notes of cherry pie, spice, and a faint minerality. Soft tannins make it easy-drinking yet refined.
