Distillery Background
El Tequileno was founded in 1959 in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico. The Reposado Rare expression stands out because it is aged for six years (and a few months) in a single massive American oak barrel called a “pipón” (around 23,000–25,000 L), allowing extended maturation but technically still labelled as a “Reposado” due to barrel size regulations.
