Founded in 1824 in Speyside by Alexander Reid, The Macallan is legendary for its craftsmanship, tiny pot stills, and mastery of oak cask selection, especially its work with sherry‑seasoned casks. The Double Cask line builds on that heritage, marrying two types of European and American oak (both sherry‑seasoned) to deliver flavour combinations that highlight both sweetness and spice.
